My Story

“I have nothing to wear”

I’m pretty sure that you, like me, have said at least once “I have nothing to wear”. I’m also quite sure it wasn’t true. So, why do we say it? And what does it really mean when somebody says “I have nothing to wear”?

I believe that what we’re actually saying is “I feel insecure about myself” or “I don’t know what to wear for the situation I’m dressing for” or “I need a change”.

So here I am, to inspire you and help you make that change, feel empowered and feel confident - all from your look!

Hi, I’m Ilary …

I started to breathe fashion the moment I was born. In my family, fashion isn’t just a passion but also a business for three generations of “Crespo”.

In the 1950’s my Grandfather founded a multi brand show-room, which my Dad then grew internationally and where my fashion career began.

Although I was proud of being part of the family business, I decided to chase my own dream - to live in a fashion capital and work for the most iconic brands.

I set off to London, where I started from the bottom, but with dedication and hard work I made a name for myself in the industry, working for brands like Prada and Alaia.

After ten years as a fashion stylist and consultant I’ve realised that what actually made me happy wasn’t the luxury, the beauty or the glamour of fashion shows but giving joy to people with my work. Being able to make the difference for them, not just in the way they dress but in how they feel about themselves.

This is what led me to the decision to become an independent fashion stylist and start my own business that goes beyond fashion. My aim is to help everyone gain self-confidence in their style through developing a long-term relationship. I want to educate and provide guidance until that person becomes progressively independent in deciding what clothes to wear and how to style them, in order to express their true personality.

How I can help you

I will help you gain confidence and be effortlessly stylish, both in your old clothes and in new ones!
